Colorado 2021 election: One week out, only 10% of votes have been cast

As election day approaches 473,003 ballots have been returned in the state, according to the Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold.

With less than a week to go, 163,062 Unaffiliated party members (34.7%) have voted, 156,547 Republicans (33.1%) and 148,548 Democrats (31.41%), according to the secretary’s office.

The office will update the tally daily through Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2. The data in this story reflects the tally as of Tuesday at 11:30 p.m.

In the metro area Jefferson County voters lead the pack with 58,919 ballots returned. In Denver, 30,149 voters had returned ballots.

There are 3,844,752 total active voters by party registration in Colorado, according to the secretary’s office.
