Nicola Sturgeon has been the face of the Scottish Government’s coronavirus response. The First Minister has repeatedly said “safety is paramount” when it comes to easing restrictions. But is Ms Sturgeon married herself and if so who is her husband?
This week, Scotland began its most significant relaxation of coronavirus restrictions since the country went into lockdown four months ago.
Hairdressers and barbers, pubs and restaurants, cinemas, tourist attractions and places of worship have reopened with strict social distancing rules.
Scotland reported three days of no new COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital last week, which Ms Sturgeon called a “really significant milestone”.
But in spite of this, the First Minister has warned it is now more important than ever to stick to public health measures.

Is Nicola Sturgeon married?
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been married since 2010.
She announced her engagement in January 2010 and was later married at Òran Mór in Glasgow on July 16, 2010.
This means the couple are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary today.
To commemorate the occasion, the Scottish First Minister shared a touching post on social media.
On Twitter, she posted a picture of their wedding day.
Alongside, the image, she wrote: “10 years.”
Her husband Peter Murrell, took a slightly more detailed approach and wrote: “3,653 days and counting”.

Yesterday, the couple shared a joke together on social media.
Ms Sturgeon posted an image of herself alongside her hairdresser.
She captioned the image: “The sweetest reunion of all.”
Her husband joked he had been “dumped” as his wife’s hairdresser, now that lockdown restrictions have eased.
Who is Nicola Sturgeon married to?
Ms Sturgeon has been in a relationship with her husband, Peter Murrell since 2003.
Mr Murrell is the CEO of the SNP, a position he has held since 1999 after he took over from Michael Russell.
Prior to taking on this role, he worked at the Banff and Buchan constituency office of Alex Salmond, who was former party leader.
Mr Murrell also previously worked as the company secretary of Independence Merchandising Limited, a company which has now-dissolved.
The company included as its directors SNP politicians Pete Wishart and Stuart Stevenson.
Mr Murrell fought off calls to resign from Kenny Macaskill, a former SNP Justice Secretary in January 2019.
The call for his resignation came after the SNP lost 21 seats in the general election.
Mr MacAskill also said he felt a situation of a husband-and-wife in the top positions of an organisation would not be tolerated in the media, business, or public sectors.
