Dr Renee Hoenderkamp pointed out that no matter how many COVID-19 vaccines people have had, they are not immune to Omicron. Dr Hoenderkamp also underlined that the new variant only has fatal consequences for people with serious illnesses such as cancer or COPD. But for “everybody else” it’s a normal flu, as she picked up on a study from Israel saying that the booster jab only serves to increase antibody levels.

TalkRADIO presenter Kevin O’ Sullivan wanted to know what the fuss is all about and why people even bother to get boosted, saying that the rot has already been stopped across Britain to stop the rampant Omicron disease.

“All the statistics are plummeting in every region of the UK.

“The hospitalisations are down, deaths are down, case numbers are down.

“What’s this obsession with get your booster? Against what? Omicron, who makes you a bit stiffly for two days? Don’t need a vaccination against that, do you?”

Dr Hoenderkamp replied: “It’s really bizarre because we got some good data from Israel this week who are always ahead of us in everything.

“And they actually said very clearly this week that whilst the booster seems to push your antibodies up a bit, it doesn’t stop you getting Omicron.

“Omicron is beating the booster, people are getting infected.

“I am seeing that in GP, I am seeing people with no vaccine, two vaccines, three vaccines they are all getting Omicron!”

For healthy people, the health risks posed by Omicron are so low, moderate at worst, that Dr Hoenderkamp opts against precautionary reasons.

She said: “They are not getting sick, I am not sending them to hospital.

“Yes, there will be some people who go to hospital but that will always be the case for some people even if they get a cold.”

Asked by Mister O’Sullivan whether getting Omicron is a consequence of “just” having had two vaccines and being unboosted, she replied “No”.

“I am seeing the same illness across everybody that gets it because the vaccine two or three are not having any difference, so they are getting the same illness that they would have got.

“My daughter in-law got Omicron before Christmas.

“She is unvaccinated, that’s her choice, I respect it and she said she felt very fluey for two days and then she was fine.

“Look, it’s always gonna be bad for some people, for some people it doesn’t matter what they catch they are at risk.

“People with COPD, people with cancer and you know we have to look after those people which has always been my argument.

“But for everybody else, for you and me it’s a cold, it’s another cold!”
