An alleged car thief supposedly reversed a stolen Range Rover onto the owner’s other motor after a frantic chase.
Dramatic photos show the vehicle piled on top of a Volkswagen Golf after the suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot.
Police arrested an 18-year-old in relation to the incident but he has since been released under investigation.
The suspect is said to have pinched the car while it was being cleaned in Trent Park, Enfield in north London on Thursday (April 8).
But it activated the Range Rover’s tracking system and the owners tracked it down to nearby Brigadier Hill.
The owner is said to have contacted police on the way to find the Range Rover.
According to the Sun, the couple jumped in a Volkswagen Golf and then chased the suspected thief.
But he is said to have panicked and quickly tried to flee the scene by reversing the Range Rover onto the other car behind.
He is reported to have legged the scene and headed towards Hilly Fields, as the couple desperately ran after him.
The area was blocked after the incident, according to reports.
One social media user posted photos of the crash and said that “luckily no one has been hurt”.
A TikTok user filmed footage of the wreckage, which showed the Range Rover piled high on top with a front door left wide open.
The video showed the front of the Volkswagen Golf had been crushed by the weight of the other vehicle.
Footage shows that the area had also been cordoned off by police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 17:58hrs on Thursday, 8 April to reports of a collision involving two vehicles in Brigadier Hill, Enfield.
