Beautiful student midwife, 20, found dead after screaming heard

Tributes have flooded in for a student midwife who tragically and suddenly passed away at her home following reports of a "concern for safety" and witness accounts of screaming in the street.

Jade Jones, 20, died suddenly in her Vermont Street house in Hull, East Yorkshire on Monday night.

Humberside Police were called to her terraced property at 8.45pm on Monday, 13 December after reports of a "concern for safety".

The student midwife's death left her family and many friends heartbroken, triggering a flood of tributes on social media, HullLive reported.

One mourner posted on Facebook: "Such a beautiful girl inside and out, gone far too soon."

Several bouquets of flowers and a photo frame were left outside the address on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to an incident off Vermont Street at 8.45pm on Monday.

Witnesses recalled hearing "screaming" in the street. One said: "People were out in the street screaming, it wasn’t aggressive screaming it was just sad."

Several ambulances and police cars were present, and neighbours were reported to be "crying".

Another witness said: "It’s so tragic, your heart goes out to those people, they were so upset."

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a concern for safety at a property on Vermont Street, Hull at 8.45pm last night, Monday, December 13.

"Sadly, upon attendance, a 20-year-old woman was found to have died.

"This is being treated as a non-suspicious death and there is no risk to the community.

"Our thoughts are with the woman’s loved ones and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
