University of Colorado Boulder police said Saturday night that they were responding to reports of a large party.
In a tweet, police said that the gathering was spotted at Pennsylvania Avenue and 10th Street and that people “could be subject to arrest and CU sanctions.”
Social media posts circulating Saturday night also claimed to bear witness to the crowds. In response to some of those posts, Boulder police said that they are “aware of what’s going on and have been developing a strategy response.”
