Three convicted criminals are on the run in Derbyshire this evening (Monday, December 7) with police releasing their mugshots and urging members of the public not to approach them.

Derbyshire Police have issued a warning following the disappearance of three men from HMP Sudbury on Saturday December 5.

The first of the escapees is Lewis Daniel Thornton, 29, who was convicted of manslaughter at Wolverhampton Crown Court in 2016

On his right wrist, Thornton has a 'RIP Cobra' tattoo and the word Angel tattooed on his left arm, DerbyshireLive reports.

Daniel Geral Ferris, 30, also absconded and was serving time for robbery after being convicted at Birmingham Crown Court of robbery in 2018.

The third criminal is 33-year-old Rory Allen who was convicted of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin at Worcester Crown Court in 2018.

He has the word "Tug" tattooed on his right arm and is understood to have links in Birmingham, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

Police have urged members of the public to not approach any of the convicted criminals and have instead urged people to call emergency services immediately.
