Denver weather: Bitter cold with a slight chance of snow flurries Wednesday

Denverites can expect Wednesday to be another bitter cold day. At 7 a.m. the temperature hovered around 19 degrees, the National Weather Service reported.

The high is expected to only hit about 32 degrees with an evening low of 15 degrees, according to the NWS in Boulder. There is a 20% chance of snow flurries after 4 p.m., but the majority of those are expected to fall south of Interstate 70.

There is also some high winds expected with up to 30 mph gusts along the I-25 corridor and 40-50 mph winds across the plains.

Thursday is expected to warm slightly with a high of 46 and a low of 24 degrees forecast. Friday will continue the warming trend with a high of 57 and a low of 27 degrees, the NWS reported.
