Yesterday Denver received some light snow and cool temperatures. Tuesday will be a similar weather day for Denverites.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will reach a high of 46 degrees under increasing clouds today. It will be windy, with gusts as high as 33 mph. There’s a 30% chance of precipitation, most likely to occur between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Less than a half-inch of snow is expected. The wind will remain as overnight temperatures dip to 26 degrees.
A few mountains areas could get up to 3 three inches of snow on Tuesday, but forecasters say less than 1 inch is likely to fall. Wind gusts should be expected across the high country and plains which will blow snow and cause poor visibility.
Wednesday begins a warming trend that will last into the extended forecast. The midweek high is expected to reach a sunny 55 degrees but once again 34 mph wind gusts will keep folks in Denver hanging onto their hats. The low will drop to 31 degrees.
Thursday could be a bit windy once again, but highs should reach 66 degrees with sunshine.
Meteorologists say Denver will remain dry through the weekend with highs in the mid-70s.
