Denver weather: Cooler temps Tuesday as mountains get snow

Denver will be a bit cooler Tuesday as the city continues to have a mostly clear week.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will be mostly sunny, with a high of 61 degrees on Tuesday. It will be breezy, with gusts blowing at 24 mph. Overnight winds will blow clouds in and bring a low of 33 degrees.

Light snow fell overnight in the mountains and will persist. The area north of the Interstate 70 corridor may see slick travel conditions. Gusty winds could reach over 40 mph, and there are raised areas of fire danger.

The Front Range will begin to dry Wednesday and will stay that way through the weekend. Denver will top out at 63 degrees under the sun on Wednesday. The low will fall to 37 degrees.

Thursday will reach 69 degrees with sunny skies. Winds could gust up to 15 mph, with a low of 38 degrees.

Highs in the 70s are possible this weekend.
