After a hot August, Denverites can look forward to a cooler start to September.
Monday’s high in Denver is only supposed to reach 81 degrees, the National Weather Service in Boulder said. The low is expected to be 52 degrees tonight with winds gusting as high as 17 mph. After 4 p.m. there is a 10% chance of scattered showers.
There’s also a 30% chance of thunderstorms between 1 and 5 a.m. Tuesday, the NWS said. Tomorrow’s high is expected to be 81 degrees with a low of 55 degrees.
Wednesday will be the hottest day this week, according to the weather service, with a high of 91 and a low of 56 degrees. Thursday and Friday are expected to return to mid-80s, allowing Denverites to enjoy a much milder week.
