A dog’s owners have shared their sadness at discovering what their beloved pooch got up to while home alone.
Adorable Cavapoo Clemmie has, like most pets across the globe, been overjoyed to spend more time with his owners Anne and Tim during lockdown.
But that has come at a cost, with the dog becoming “incredibly dependent” on their presence.
So his owners, who live in New York City, New York, US, decided to start leaving Clemmie alone for periods of time so he can get used to life when they return to their offices.
With the use of their Furbo dog camera, they have been able to monitor how she has gotten on.

And one particular video left them heartbroken after seeing what Clemmie had been doing.
The clip, shared to Clemmie’s devoted Instagram account @clemmie_poo, shows the clearly distressed pooch howling for her owners.
He continues the heartbreaking howls for several moments before the video comes to an end.
Anne and Tim, both in their 30s, have since spoken exclusively to Daily Star Online about the heart-wrenching video.

“We feel said to see he’s so anguished without us but know it is for the best,” they explained.
“Just like him, we’ve also grown attached to him.
“The howling is new for him but he eventually does calm down and waits or sleeps right by the door.
“We also haven’t been away from Clemmie for long periods of time and so we are also missing him.”
Anne and Tim added they were also "sad and anxious" because they were concerned about the noise for their neighbours.
It is not the only time pet owners have been left distraught after seeing what their security cameras have captured while they were out of the house.
Ida Myrin vowed to never leave her house again after leaving her cat alone for just 30 minutes.
“We thought it was pretty cute at first but when we noticed that he didn't stop it just felt sad," she told Daily Star Online.
“He talks a lot with that ‘whiny’ and sad voice and tone so it's hard to tell [if he’s crying].
“But he also hates being alone though, so maybe he is crying.”
