The Douglas County Sheriff and Parker police investigators on Wednesday are looking for possible child sexual assault victims of a former schools and recreation center employee arrested last year in Missouri.
Facing sexual misconduct charges in Missouri, Jason Lee Carey, 42, worked for the Douglas County School District between 2015 and 2019, the Parker Recreation Center in 2016, the Children’s Learning Adventure of Colorado in 2018, and Parker Kindercare between 2018 and 2021, authorities said in their posting on Twitter.
He was arrested in September 2022 by police in Belton, Missouri, and investigators said some of the alleged crimes involved underage victims.
“We have since learned that there may be potential victims in the Douglas County and Parker area,” a Douglas County sheriff’s statement said.
Carey was known as “Thor,” authorities said, urging anybody with information to contact police at a joint agency tip email address: [email protected].
