A team of firefighters have braved the raging fire as they tackled the flames from the LNU Lightning Complex Fires earlier this week.
The fire, mostly sparked by lightning and spread due to high temperatures, has claimed four lives as it grew to 215,000 across four counties in California, US.
Dramatic video filmed from inside the fire truck shows the Fairfield fire department team being surrounded by the glowing-red fire front near Vacaville in Napa County.
Rapid-moving embers can be seen blowing around the truck as it drives along the danger zone.
The sky is blanketed by a thick layer of smoke and obstructing the fire crews' visibility.
Fairfield fire department posted the clip yesterday with a message: "Fairfield Engine 341 assisted with initial attack to Pleasants Valley rd Tuesday night."
Viewers praised the firemen for their bravery as they sent their best wishes to them in the comments.
One said: "This is terrifying to watch and just makes me that much more grateful for the firefighters risking their lives! Wow!"
A second viewer added: "Thank you so much for all you do! You are HEROES!! That looks so scary! Be safe out there!"
According to Cal Fire, the Napa County has been the most destructive, with 105 structures destroyed, 70 damaged and 30,500 threatened.
Thousands of residents were forced to flee their homes to the nearest shelters but some chose to stay in their cars as they worried of catching coronavirus in crowded places.
Many of them did not know if they still had their homes.
