Huge brawl sparks after England World Cup game with punches and objects thrown

A huge bar fight took place just seconds after England's national team kicked off against Iran in the World Cup earlier this week.

Shocking video footage shows absolute chaos taking place outside the French Martini bar in Billericay, Essex.

In the clip, large groups of drinkers are seen throwing punches, as well as several objects from the nearby area.

Around 12 people were involved in the fight, with a number of people having to be restrained and forced onto the floor by bystanders.

Bar staff made it clear after the fight that it had nothing to do with the World Cup, however, according to Essex Live.

Essex Police has confirmed officers were called to the venue following reports of a disturbance at 3.15pm but by the time officers arrived the crowd had dispersed – no injuries have been reported to the force.

French Martini's owners shared their disappointment at the brawl, and stressed that the incident began between two punters who had an "ongoing feud".

A spokesman for French Martini said: “It was quickly stopped, we had security in place and we couldn't have done anything further to stop the situation.

“It was nothing to do with the football.

We want to apologise to customers.

“If we knew there was that friction in the building we would have asked them to leave, but we didn't.”

They also confirmed that, once officers arrived, the police “didn't need to get out of the car” as that the fight had been stopped and the issue sorted out before they arrived.

No arrests were made, and the spokesman for the bar continued by openly welcoming punters to return to the venue to watch the rest of England's World Cup games, against USA on Friday and Wales next week.

However, the bar did not confirm if the punters who caused the fight have been barred from the venue.
