Lady Colin Campbell has told of there being more to Meghan Markle's latest television appearance than it just being a standard interview with long-time friend Ellen DeGeneres.
Airing tonight (Thursday, November 18) at 8pm UK time, the interview with Ellen DeGeneres could cause a stir similar to the joint Prince Harry and Meghan interview with Oprah earlier this year.
And Lady C has said that this is all part of a “strategy” for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star's Kurt Robson, she said: “Without a doubt it’s a strategy.
“Her strategy is to make herself the most reported on royal in the world.
“That is her strategy and she has been achieving it.”
The socialite joined a growing number of royal insiders giving their opinions on the sure-to-be explosive interview.
Earlier today, Gertrude Daly, a royal commentator and podcaster, had claimed that Meghan may try to use the interview to address the ongoing court case with her father, but advised that she might be best “to not talk about it and keep things positive".
Daly told the Daily Star: "Meghan might try to use then Ellen interview to address the court case and some of the things revealed in the released messages and emails.
"I see this as being more like, Prince Harry’s James Corden interview. Mostly positive, light hearted and funny.
"There may be a bit of serious, negative stuff.
"But hopefully the comments about the royals will be more along the lines of 'Archie got a waffle iron from the Queen' than 'the royal family is racist'.”
The interview has already aired in the US, and part of it have already come to light on social media.
One clip shows The Duchess of Sussex talking about their daughter Lilibet, who has started teething.
She admitted to “looking for anything to relieve” her daughter's struggles, to which the 60-year-old host replied: “Tequlia, anything.”
The pair have been close friends for many years, which is why Meghan is appearing on the show – forming part of Ellen's final series of the iconic talk show.
