Paedo funfair worker with 666 tattoo on his face, had sex with underage girl

A man who offered a 14-year-old girl £1,300 for sex – and slept with her – has been jailed for five years.

Although Calvin Stockdale, 23, never actually paid the child any money, he was aware of her age when he slept with her – he was 19 at the time the act took place in October, 2018, Lincolnshire Live reports.

Lincoln Crown Court was told, by Sarah Knight, prosecuting, that the pair met up at the location after exchanging messages, which is where the offer was made.

She said that the girl tried to contact Stockdale after they had sex – presumably to ask for her money – but he blocked her and never paid her.

Having informed a relative of what happened, police were called in March, 2019.

A condom was found at the scene during a search.

Despite claiming that it was not connected to him, DNA evidence proved that it was indeed connected to Stockdale.

A victim impact statement from the unnamed girl said that she “stopped talking to people” and became “concerned of what others would think” after the incident.

She also admits to suffering from “serious” mental health issues as a result of what happened, and the after effects, too.

Steven Gosnell, mitigating, said that Stockdale had a “troubled upbringing”.

He also pointed out that he had not been involved in any other sexual assault incidents since the incident with the girl.

Mr Gosnell also said that his client, who worked at a local funfair, was hoping for a “fresh start” once he is released from prison, having admitted a single offence of paying a child for sexual services.

He will not be placed on the sex offenders register for life and will be made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Judge Simon Hirst said, when passing the sentence: “You were affectively a third of years older, but more significant is your offering of money, which on any view was grooming and exploitative behaviour.”
