Animal-loving Brits who can't leave their beloved pets at home are taking them away with them on spa breaks, ski holidays and even country cottages.
According to a survey with 1,000 pet owners, 41 per cent of admitted taking their animals on holiday.
But 54 per cent said finding pet-friendly accommodation is difficult, Hotels.com found.
The top destination to take pets on holiday was the countryside, followed by the beach and a woodland retreat.
10 per cent said they've taken animals to a ski resort and 11 per cent admitted enjoying a spa break with their animals.
Hotels.com's 'Creature Critics' study spoke to more than 8,000 animal owners across 15 countries, in an initiative to recruit animals to review its accommodation.
The coronavirus pandemic, which has allowed humans to spend more time than ever before with their pets, has led to an increasing anxiety about going on holiday without them.
There has been a 300 per cent spike in demand for pet-friendly hotels over the past six months.
The most common reason for taking the pet away is not wanting to leave them alone following months of working and being at home with them.

The fear that the animals would miss their owners too much is the second reason, followed by the realisation of how much they love them.
Although one in ten pet owners who took part in the survey admitted taking their pet on holiday to help their flirting.
Emma Tagg, from Hotels.com, said: “With lockdown making us clingier than ever, it’s no surprise that no-one wants to leave their pet pal behind.
“At Hotels.com we want to make sure each pet-friendly hotel is up to scratch, which is why we launched the Pet Friendly category within our ‘Loved by Guests’ awards.
“But the reality is we can’t review all the hotels ourselves, and honestly – what do us humans know?
