A poor pigeon that limped to safety after being beaten and torn apart by schoolgirls has died.
The bird, who was bashed with a stick and traumatised as three teens pulled out its feathers, was left for dead.
According to the Metro, a witness saw the horrific ordeal by the vile trio on Friday.
After dragging itself under a hedge in Sutton Coldfield with its wing, the pigeon was discovered by rescuers.
RSPCA collected the bird and discovered half of its back was red raw where feathers had been ripped out.
The poor animal also had an injury at the back of its head.
Animal medics battled to save the pigeon's life, however it had to be put to sleep.
RSPCA animal collection officer Cara Gibbon revealed the bird "suffered completely unnecessarily because of the cruel actions of three people," reports Metro.
Ms Gibbon added: "It was clear when I collected the pigeon that it had been whacked over the head.
"When I examined the pigeon I could see immediately the extent of his injuries.

"His head was flopped to the side and he was 'ticking' which is usually a sign of head or brain trauma."
She added: "It is so sad that this bird suffered in the way he did, no animal should ever have to go through something like that."
The RSPCA has called for witnesses and anyone with further information to come forward.
The charity has requested any information be shared by contacting their appeals line on 0300 123 8018.
In a separate horrific incident last month, a seagull was left bloodied and later died after being beaten by two boys armed with a cricket bat in a park.
It is believed the bird may have been "drunk on flying ants" at the time of its attack, making it an easy target in Brighton, south-east England.
