A former prison guard has been jailed for trading a McDonald’s meal for sex with an inmate.
Randy Beehler, 54, was transferring the female prisoner in Minnesota, US when he stopped for food.
She told him she would “do anything” for something to eat, and he replied by asking if it included “fooling around”.
He stopped at a McDonald’s drive-thru in the city of Cannon Falls and ordered them both meals during the lunchtime drive on September 30 2019.
Beehler then pulled into a car park at an abandoned business and uncuffed the prisoner, who got into the front seat before he drove off again.
While he was driving Beehler opened his trousers and exposed himself to the inmate, who performed a sex act on him, TwinCities reported.
He reportedly warned her she would be the one who would get in trouble if she told anyone what had happened.
But she went to the authorities later that day and filed a report, claiming she “never consented to sexual contact but felt coerced”.

Under Minnesota state law, a prisoner cannot legally give consent for sexual activity with a prison officers.
This is due to the imbalance in power between guards and detainees, according to local media.
He had been transferring her from the Olmsted County jail to the Hennepin County Jail at the time.
Beehler, of Foley, Minnesota, initially denied the allegations, but later admitted he had bought her food and that she had performed sex acts.

He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and was jailed for 120 days on Wednesday, June 9.
The ex-screw was also handed seven years’ probation and was ordered to participate in sex offender treatment and to register as a predatory offender.
Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena said: “I am pleased Mr. Beehler is being held accountable for his actions.
“As an employee of the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Mr. Beehler was entrusted with the victim’s care and protection while transporting her to the Hennepin County Jail.
“He violated his position of authority by engaging in sexual acts with a woman who was in a very vulnerable situation.”
Beehler had worked in the state’s corrections department for 25 years.
