Rare photos of baby Prince George leave royal fans gushing over chubby cheeks

Some rare photos of Prince George, now 8, were uploaded onto social media a whole seven years after they were shared by Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The young Prince was photographed sporting a Coldstream Guards woollen sleeveless jumper in the lead up to his Christmas celebrations on December 13, 2014.

The images, which show George cheekily grinning into the lens with red cheeks, were snapped at the family's home in London, Express reports.

It is reported that the photos were taken by Prince Harry's private secretary Ed Lane Fox, who previously had worked as a freelance photographer.

It was reported by the BBC at the time that the Christmas photo release was "in part" an act of gratitude to the press, who had accepted the Cambridges' request not to publish paparazzi pictures that had been snapped of the young Prince.

When the joyful photos were shared on Twitter yesterday, fans of the royal family flooded to the website to compliment the future King.

Mary Ruth shared the photos, captioning her tweet with: Some of my favourite pictures of Prince George."

Another Twitter user, using the handle @loveforcambridg, responded to the post by saying: "Look at his chubby cheeks.

It is understood that the royal family are planning to meet for their traditional festivities at Sandringham in Norfolk this Christmas, as last year's plans were halted by the coronavirus pandemic.

And Prince George's younger brother Louis is expected to join the Christmas tradition for the very first time.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, six, made their first appearances at the Firm’s Christmas day church service in 2019.
