Sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell moans prison diet is 95% beans and tofu

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has complained about the quality of prison grub as she moaned about her diet behind bars.

Speaking on TalkTV, the associate of Jeffrey Epstein said that, as a vegetarian, food in prison was “beyond tasteless” as she claims her daily food intake consists of "95% beans and tofu".

Maxwell, 61, was last year sentenced to 20 years behind bars for conspiring with paedo Jeffrey Epstein to sexually traffic minors.

Now, as the first months of her lengthy sentence roll by, she has been given the opportunity to speak out on her experiences behind bars on Jeremy Kyle's TalkTV show,

“The portion control is very odd,” she explained to the TV station.

“And when like me you're on a no meat diet, you're supposed to have either hummus or cottage cheese or tofu for you but most of the time, I'd say about 95%, it's tofu if it's anything or beans.”

She added: “95%, it's beans or otherwise you have a tofu substitute.

“And then the tofu has no seasoning, there's no seasoning allowed.

“No salt or pepper or anything. So it's beyond tasteless.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Maxwell explained how work and timetables operated in FCI Tallahassee, a low-security prison in Florida, USA.

She said: “So, they wake you up at 6. And you can go to breakfast, which consists of a cereal and fruit, a piece of fruit, generally.

“And then you have to make your bed in military style so there is nothing that’s sticking out. It has to be a prescribed way otherwise you can get into trouble.

“You can get what's called a ‘shot’.”

She continued: “And then at 7:30am you go to work and for me that means I go to the law library, to help people so if they have detainers or they have warrants, or they are trying to appeal their case or… let's see, if they are trying to get compassionate release or they ask about the first step back or how credits are applied to their time.

“That sort of thing and I ask those types of questions.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Maxwell claimed that the infamous image that appears to show Maxwell with Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre is in fact a fake.

She told the TV channel: "It's a fake. I don't believe it's real for a second, in fact I’m sure it’s not…

“Well, there’s never been an original and further there is no photograph. I’ve only ever seen a photocopy of it.”

The interview with Maxwell is available on Sky 522, Sky Glass 508, Virgin Media 606, Freeview 237 and Freesat 217 as well as on DAB, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus, YouTube, the Talk.TV website and TalkTV iOS and Android apps.
