A teenager killed his 16-year-old girlfriend and her parents after they caught the pair in bed together inside the family's Californian home.
Mauricio Johnson, 19, has confessed to fatally shooting his lover and her parents because "he did not want to have any witnesses," investigators said.
It was reported that a small party with underage drinking took place inside the home in Humboldt County, California when Johnson was welcomed in by other minors who lived there, reports Fox News.
The twisted teen pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the triple murder and is set to receive a 150-year prison sentence, the Humboldt County District Attorney said.
Johnson killed Nikki Metcalf, 40, Margarett Moon, 40 and Shelly Autumn May Moon – who wasn’t identified by the DA – at their property on the Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria Reservation on February 9.
It was reported that step-father Metcalf walked into the girl’s bedroom to check on her and found Johnson and the teenager together in bed, the DA said in a statement.
They were already having sex when Metcalf hit Johnson who ran from the room with his pants down.
Johnson shot dead the step-dad which woke the mother. She was then also shot along with the girlfriend.
The alarm had been raised by Shelly’s 13-year-old sister, who was not named because of her age.
