Turkey earthquake: Strong 5.3 quake rocks Mediterranean – Cyprus rattled

The earthquake rocked the Mediterranean shortly after 12.45pm (3.45pm local time) and was centred south of the coastal resort town of Antalya.

According to the Kandilli Observatory, the quake reached a depth of 58 miles (93.3km) and was felt across neighbouring provinces.

At this stage there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage to any buildings.
