Andrew Neil, former BBC presenter, tweeted Mr Biden needed to have a stronger showing against the US President, and said: “Biden should not allow himself to be bullied by Trump. Looks weak.” It comes after Mr Trump has hit at the Democrat over the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Trump savagely attacked the Democrat and said: “If we would have listened to you, the country would have been left wide open.
“Millions of people would have died, not 200,000. And one person is too much, it’s China’s fault. It should have never happened.”
Mr Trump added: “You didn’t think we should close out country because you thought it was terrible. You wouldn’t have closed it for another two months.
“In fact Dr Fauci said ‘President Trump saved thousands of lives’. Many of your Democrat governors said ‘President Trump did a phenomenal job’.”
After Mr Biden laughed at the President’s comments, Mr Trump ramped up his attacks.
He claimed “most of them said” he had done a greta job tackling the pandemic, and added: “You wouldn’t have made ventilators, and now we’re weeks away from a vaccine.
“We’re doing therapeutics already, far fewer people are dying. We’ve done a great job.”
Mr Trump the said: “Let me tell you Joe, you could never have done the job that we did.
“You don’t have it in your blood, you could have never done it.”
