Woman who ordered 21 dishes puts plastic from bra in food to avoid paying bill

This is the bizarre moment a woman pulls out a piece of plastic from her bra and places it in her food in a cheeky attempt to avoid paying a hefty bill.

The dishonest diner and her family walked to curry house Namji in Milton Keynes and ordered four starters, seven sides, six main courses and four drinks in a very pricey meal.

The family of five began to grumble about their dining experience as soon as they tucked into their first course.

And it didn't take long before restaurant owner Naseem Khan discovered the woman doing a trick.

CCTV on Monday (October 10) shows the woman appearing to adjust her bra shortly after finishing the starters.

She then pulls out a small cigarette packet and breaks a piece of plastic off. Then she puts the bag in her bra and drops the plastic in the curry.

Naseem said: "The woman called the waiter and said there was plastic in her food.

"The waiter said 'we don’t have this plastic in our kitchen, but I have the authority to give you 20% off and not charge you for the dish'.

"The husband then stood up and said 'I’m not going to pay', and the waiter said 'fine, do what you have to do' and walked away."

The 21-item meal – including two Tandoori lamb chops – totalled £170.45.

Naseem was fed up and said she would have given the family free food if they had been honest to her.

"When I sent the footage to a local group of restaurants, many of the owners said they’d seen something similar," she said.

"It’s something we would never expect or wish to see."

Police later confirmed they were investigating an allegation of theft.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "At around 8.30am today (October 11), we received a report of a theft at Namji restaurant in Xscape in Marlborough Gate, Milton Keynes.

"Officers are investigating and anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website."
