From today (June 1), Russia’s Strategic Missile Force will begin performing various military drills during the summer training period. Russian News Agency TASS claims they will involve multi service interacting forces and capabilities.

In a statement, the Defense Ministry of Russia said: “During the summer training period, the Strategic Missile Force will conduct over 30 tactical drills with missile regiments and more than 70 special tactical exercises with logistics and military security forces.”

The Ministry added the duration and number of training measures will be increased throughout the summer season.

It said: “In logistics units, the duration of measures to practice tasks in field conditions will be increased to one month.

“The number of regiment, battalion and company-level exercises will also grow.”

Onsite classes will be introduced which will include learning how to operate new missile systems.

Advanced weapon systems will reportedly be widely used.

The ministry added the new programmes and methods being introduced will help fully use the latest weapon systems’ inherent operational characteristics.

The practice of snap combat readiness checks will also be continued, it added.

Last month, Russia’s navy showed off its military might during long-distance deployment drills in the Pacific.

The fleet, which consists of the corvettes Sovershenny and Gromky, said in a statement: “The personnel of the squad for fighting subversive forces and capabilities who provide the security of ships during their transit by sea practiced the assignment of defending the corvettes against the threat of an attack by a surface fast-speed small-sized target.”

According to reports, attention was focused on special gear and arms as well as the algorithm of the inspection team’s actions under the scenarios of various sudden factors.

Back in April, the Pacific Fleet departed from Vladivostok for its deployment in waters.

During the long-distance deployment, it is reported that a series of drills and exercises have been scheduled for the warship.

The corvettes and crew of the Ka-27PL anti-submarine warfare helicopters held drills in the Peter the Great Bay.

They reportedly practiced take-offs from and landings aboard aircraft-carrying ships.

Russia revealed a terrifying new military weapon which is set to be out in waters in late June.

The Khabarovsk, also known as Project 09582, is the second submarine to serve as a carrier of Russia’s underwater nuclear drones after the first floated out back in April.

The first special-purpose nuclear submarine, the Belgorod, is expected to enter service with the Russian Navy this September.

Both the Belgorod and the Khabarovsk are capable of carrying six Poseidon drones each.

Back in 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the country’s development of a nuclear-powered, unmanned underwater vehicle which can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads.

The military weapons have the capability to destroy enemy infrastructure, aircraft carrier groups and other targets.

NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg then warned that US nuclear warheads should not be removed from Germany because of a threat from Russia.

World War 3 fears were ignited across the globe just days into 2020 and as tensions continue to rise between world leaders.

Concerns were first triggered around the globe following the death of Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani in a US airstrike in January.
