Stephanie McMahon has announced a "leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE."
On Twitter, the wife of Triple H wrote late on Thursday (May 19): "As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE.
"WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family."
The news comes after Triple H, one of WWE's most iconic performers, underwent a medical procedure in the wake of a 'cardiac event' in September last year.
WWE gave few details on the health scare at the time, but said Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, underwent a 'successful procedure'.
The procedure was carried out at Connecticut's Yale New Haven Hospital, with the company adding that the 'episode' related to a genetic issue.
Presently Executive Vice President, Global Talent Strategy & Development in WWE, the 52-year-old is the son-in-law to Vince McMahon, and husband of Stephanie McMahon, the company's Chief Brand Officer.
In late March this year, Triple H explained to First Take‘s Stephen A Smith that he was battling viral pneumonia.

“From the viral pneumonia, I had fluid in my lungs, fluid around my heart," he said.
“They followed up on it, did an EKG. Basically, the way your heart pumps out, it’s 55 to 65 percent of your injection fracture is a good number. I was at 30.
“I had a quick text message saying, ‘don’t take time, pack a bag, we’ll head to the emergency room. I’ll fill you in on the way’.
“By the time I got to the emergency room, my ejection fracture had gone down to 22. I was in heart failure. Bad. By the next morning, as they figured that out in the evening, the next morning as I was settling in to get an MRI done and about to go in for a heart cap, my ejection fracture was down to 12.”
He continued: “I was nose-diving and at the one-yard line of where you don’t want to be. For your family and your future, when they tell you it’s 99%, it gets real.”
