Young thug pulls out huge knife in McDonalds brawl as staff try to intervene

    A terrifying video captured the moment a gang of yobs started brawling in McDonald's before one pulled out a huge knife.

    Footage shows a group of young men pushing and shoving each other between the self-service machines at one of the fast-food outlets in Hackney, London on January 19.

    One of the lads pulled out a crutch to use as a weapon, while another started wielding a large knife.

    Several shocked customers watched on as staff tried to intervene – with one male member of staff appearing to stand with his arms out between the youths in an attempt to defuse the situation.

    Punches are thrown and the group were heard shouting amongst themselves, with one yelling: "What are you doing bro? Leave bro."

    But he was pushed too and when weapons were drawn the group started to scramble away, as another said: "He run off like a p***y bro!"

    The clip has since been shared on social media, racking up more than 225,000 vides when posted by @CrimeLdn, with the caption: "Earlier today In hackney at the McDonald's."

    Viewers were appalled by the clip as they took to the comments to share their outrage at the group's behaviour.

    One user said: "Always knives and blades in this day and age. Just needs to stop now."

    Another added: "Where are their parents at? London needs more reinforcement of patrol police with real guns and not soft sticks.

    "Violence isn’t the option, but nevertheless they are young guys who still need to get some teaching about respect and stopping the gang sh*t that won’t work for them after ten years when they get to know more about the real world."

    A spokesperson for Met Police said: "Police were called at 22:20hrs on 19 January to reports of a group of youths – some armed with knives – threatening staff at a restaurant in Mare Street E8.

    "Officers responded and searched the area but they could not be found. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue."

    McDonald's confirmed to customers or staff were injured during the incident.

    A spokesperson for the restaurant chain said: "The safety and security of our people and customers is our absolute priority, and this behaviour is totally unacceptable.

    "The police attended the incident and we will be supporting them with any ongoing investigation. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to anti-social behaviour in our restaurants.”
