Putin boldly dismissed allegations linking Iran to the Hamas attack on Israel as unfounded, stressing the longstanding alliance between Russia and Iran.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a conference in Moscow, Putin said suggestions that Iran were involved in any attacks were “groundless”.<\/p>\n
Despite Iran’s history of supporting Hamas through financial aid and weaponry, its supreme leader denied involvement in the recent attack.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Poland’s president speculated that Putin might be capitalising on the Israeli crisis to divert attention from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
However, UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps asserted that the focus on the Ukraine war would not waver.<\/p>\n
